Day 3 Success on the Oregon  Trail

Central Wyoming’s historical Split Rock Ranch brings a diverse array of hunting opportunities to hunters from all over.  This year Texas resident Don Farmer and Wisconsin’s own Josh Shemak spent hours on day three of their hunt hidden in a small sage covered draw awaiting for a herd of elk holding 22 branch antlered bulls to come out of the Rocks!  Little did they know 6 hours later both would be faced with an opportunity to harvest Bulls at less than 100 yards.

Congrats to both hunters as they took great bulls in the Wyoming Sage bringing home two beautiful trophies.
